Off Sick But Still Been Haseled

Like a blot out of the blue there on my doorstep is my boss on a welfare visit. Quote: didn't you receive the letter ? NO ! This is the second time a ghost letter has been sent, I did receive a letter informing me I was going on to 1/2 pay !! Is this harassment to bully me back to work ? I think it possibly is. This is from a service that is meant to be compassionate, but shows no compassion to its employees.

Late Update

Just a quick note to say I have been of sick etc so no update. Not of sick from feb 07 but had finding time to put comments on blog difficult. News from work is still the same, low moral, low manning and a mangement that will not or unwilling to listen !! New recrutement underway this will solve all problems .... I Think not.

PS: Been made to feel I should not be sick and I should be back at work.

To Lift or Not to Lift ?

Been reading comments left on the following site:
http://nicenurse.wordpress.com/

It is good or not good to see that it is not just the North West of England that is at loggerheads with Nursing Homes, Care Homes etc, over the policy of lifting patients from the floor with no injury. The bottom line as I see with this problem, is that these so called Care Homes (I use this tittle with tounge in cheek) is down to funding ie: they do not want to fund or train staff and find dialing 999 as a cost effective option. I find that these institutions also pay low wages and employ a lot of non speaking or pigeon speaking English staff with no trained staff on duty. (I am not a raciest). I ask anyone who says they are not stressed, then try a give CPR instructions to a member of the average nursing/care home with little understanding of English !!!!
